Getting Old.

I have never thought about the fact that I'm getting older. Today, my body took it upon itself to make sure I was well aware.

I recently joined a women's soccer league here in Baltimore. It's been a lot of fun, but my body can't hand the wear and tear like it used to! Both feet have taken a major hit (say good bye to ann's toenails, and any hope of cute summer sandals). It took me the entire week to recover from last weeks bout of sprinting around the field for an hour and fifteen minutes. Today I played sweeper the entire game, and I'm sure the results this week will be much the same as last week, eternal soreness. I also notice soreness in places I've never even thought about, like my abs.

But, we notched up a victory this week. The weather was perfect, 65 and sunny. And in truth, I wouldn't change anything about it.
