Bat Attack

We went into the night market tonight with the kids. Basically, a place where all things cheap and worthless can be purchased, along with food that is bound to make you sick. The kids love it, I think after two hours there I never need to go back.

On the way there, however, was perhaps the funniest moment of the trip yet. We ride in what is called a Song-Tau (spelling is questionable) everywhere we go. Basically a truck with a large cage in the bed with benches. They are used as taxis and buses. We were in the Song-Tau when a bat flew into the truck. Immediately four grown adults starting screaming and where standing on the benches of the truck. Hilarious.

I'd never seen a bat up close before. It was just as scared as some of us were, and it immediately took cover under a bench. We pryed it out, and took a good look at it up close. I wouldn't really recommend it, since bats are basically flying rats, but it was good to see one up close at least once in my life.
