A whole new level

Some might think Baltimore is hot and humid.

It's got nothing on Thailand. I would like you to note how curly my hair is in this country. I would also like to say that in order to take this self portrait of me I had to wipe the lense three times. I didn't realize the humidity would fog the lense in the time it took to wipe it off, to the time I raised it up to take the picture.

Because of the humidity, however, the country is incredibly green! You can see how the moisture just hangs in the air. This picture is taken in the early morning, and by mid day we basically live in a sauna. Both of these pictures are taken off the patio where I read in the morning. Out in the distance are local rice fields, and often there are cows grazing in the field that is in the forefront.

Overall, things are great! The people are so friendly, the food is wonderful (it hasn't even made me a little bit sick) and the kids just got here yesterday.

Just a sidenote, I can't see the posts I put up. If just one person could make a comment (or more!) that lets me know that YOU can see them. Muchas Gracias.

Now that's humidity. Isn't amazing how green some places can get. I didn't realize Utah was a desert until I went to Alabama.

Isn't the humidity great! That and you talking about how green it is just takes me back. I didn't realize how much Utah was a desert until I went to Alabama.

I hope those quick-dry shirts are working for you, although it sounds like they won't be dry until September.

I wish I had "local rice paddies".
