First, you should know that we were seriously trekking through the rain forest. And it's rainy season, so we were NEVER dry. If it wasn't raining, it was warm enough that we were drenched in sweat. On our third day we hiked into the waterfall to take a dive with lunch.

Aren't you scared to go for a swim in that dark water? It seems like there would be a million scary things hiding in there to nibble (Bite) you.

At home I think I would have been scared of a lot more things! Here the fear factor has definitely gone down. I've swum (swam?) with lots of little things, as well as slept with and eaten them.
