Skiing in Virginia

Blogging has taken kind of a back seat since I left my camera in Utah when I went home for Christmas. Blogging without pictures is far less exciting. But, in celebration of MLK Day and having Innaguration Day off 10 of my friends and I rented a house in Wintergreen, Virginia to ski for the weekend. (You know, perhaps the whitest activity you can do: Skiing.)

Highlights of the weekend included:

1. Snowboarding for six straight hours on Saturday.
2. Inadvertently finding myself on a double-black diamond run, and surviving.
3. Waking up early and reading while everyone else slept.
4. Going for early morning walks in the woods.
5. Staying at the cabin by myself on Sunday morning while everyone else went skiing and just enjoying the silence.
6. The beautiful drive through the Shenandoah Mountains in order to get to church.
7. Watching football for hours on end, and actually enjoying the games.
8. Sleeping on bunk beds.
9. Driving through West Virginia. Something about West Virginia really is wonderful.
10.Quote of the weekend. " I mean this as a compliment, Ann. (Anything that starts that way is BOUND to be good.) I kind of wonder what you were like in high school. I envision you be just like Napoleon Dynamite's girlfriend, only a cooler version."

Yes you were like Napoleon Dynamite's girlfriend in high school, only much smarter and way cooler. Sounds like a great ski trip, I didn't know you snowboarded, awesome.
