Nightmare

Tomorrow is first day back to school after Spring Break. It's a long stretch without a break until Memorial Day.

I had nightmare last night. I was at school. It was dismissal, and I was sending all my kids home for the day. In reality, this is kind of a chaotic time of day, since the whole school is sometimes released from one place. In my dream I was looking for one of my kids, the bell had already rung (which means they had all sprinted away) and I was really frustrated. My principal came around the corner, and I just burst into tears and gave her a hug.

"I hate my job. I don't want to do this anymore, I just want it to be over."

And she hugged me back, kind of rocking me like an old black grandmother, and said, "I know baby, it's almost over. It's almost done."

And I think it's a good thing it's really almost done.

I think this post would end with something like "...and then I realized that I wasn't sleeping."

I love you, Ann-girl. It really is almost over. :)

I was actually hoping that the Principal was the fingernail leopard print lady that is always watching!

I cant wait to hear about tonight's dream running the Kaysville 5K with the Coopers July 3 2010. It might not top the tears in Baltimore schools, but it should be a good post.
