Nightmare

I'm speaking in Stake Conference next week in real life.

I've been feeling pretty stressed about it. The topic is a tough one for me: How the Young Women Values have prepared me to be a good wife. Truth be told, I generally don't feel like a good wife. (This is not a pity party, or a time to think Andrew isn't nice to me...just an inner struggle. Being a wife has been a hard tranisition. Enough said.) Last night I thought about for a bit before going to bed, and this was the result:

Claire wanted to be supportive, so she flew down to Baltimore to listen to me speak. I decided not to actually write the talk before hand because it was just too stressful, and I figured I'd have enough time to figure something out while the opening hymn was being sung, and the first speaker spoke. While the opening hymn was being sung, I picked at a scab on the top of head nervously. Blood started GUSHING down my face (think horror movie-esque gushing). Claire and I ran to the bathroom to try and wash my hair before I had to speak. She reassured me that no one would notice my hair was red and wet. It would be fine, she promised.

And then I had to speak. With nothing prepared. And blood on my shirt.

Awesome. At least it was a fitting Halloween dream, eh?

I got sick in the middle of stake conference and had to leave, but you win. I'm sure your talk was great, and I'm sure no one noticed your hair or shirt.

Just noticed because of your most recent post that this was a dream. I am SOOOO happy it was just a dream, I didn't think you were a wing it for a stake conference talk kind of a girl.

I am that kind of a sister...distracting and always helpful for encouragement. No one will ever notice a little blood it will be alright. That is why people love me.
