As an Anniversary/Christmas gift Andrew surprised me with tickets to see the Ravens! I was so, so, so surprised! And equally excited!
I am a bigger sports fan than Andrew, although he's come a long way in the past few years. While I don't religiously follow teams, I really like watching games and going to games. We don't have a TV, so my sports fix has been a little sparse lately.
I'd never been to a Raven's game for two main reasons: 1. They are very expensive, and I just can't justify the expense. 2. They are always on Sunday.
BUT Andrew rationalized that if we don't go now, once we have a baby we will NEVER go, and this was a Saturday afternoon game. PERFECT. And the weather was perfect. While the sun was up it was in the 50's, and although the sun went down in the fourth quarter, it was nothing like a game in Utah would have been on December 24. (Maybe it's just my youthful memory, but I remember FREEZING at November BYU games.)
Andrew also decided that if this was going to be a once in a lifetime event, we should have good seats. Like, eleventh-row good! This particular picture makes it look like we were looking into the sun for the whole game. Don't worry, we weren't. Another concern I had about paying a lot of money to go to a pro football game was that after spending all that money, I would be stuck by foul-mouthed sports fans. The group around us was perfect! Their was a father and son duo next to us that if I had to wager a guess, the son was home from college and the dad had taken him to the game as a gift. The youths behind us, also super nice.
For most of the game it was just sweatshirt weather.
At the end of the game, when it had gotten just a little colder.
Thanks for such a fun gift, Andrew! It's always fun to make memories as a gift, rather than always get things.

SO FUN! With kids we really have not been able to enjoy sports as much. One of us is always running around with Zac or crowds are too loud.
What a fun gift!!
