Andrew, the super star.

I don't think it's a newsflash for most people, but Andrew is a bit of super star in the education community here in Baltimore. He's a champion of his students, and is constantly looking for ways to help them be more successful.

To do that better, he is leaving the classroom next year and is transitioning to become an executive director of a non-profit called the Digital Harbor Foundation, running a program called EdTech Link. He's still teaching right now, which means he is beyond busy!

I'm not very good at explaining exactly what it is he is doing, so I thought I'd just link to a couple of things that explain it a little better. The Foundation website has a powerpoint-esque presentation that is pretty descriptive.

In addition, here are some links to some of the press they have gotten lately! The Wall Street Journal picked up their press release, as did NPR (not just the local NPR, like the national NPR!) and the Education Department tweeted out about what their doing, too.

I have been meaning to ask how things were going with this. Looks like things have really taken off. The website looks great and the articals were too. Sounds busy over there! :)

And every appearance shows that he is doing things for the right reasons. It was a pleasure to see you folks in action last week.
