We've moved into the election phase of the social studies unit, and today one of the kids brought up that most politicians don't write their own speeches--that they have speech writers.
Most of the kids could hardly believe this.
One raised his hand and said, "Why does George Bush sound like that, then? If someone is writing his speeches for him, shouldn't he not sound like that?"
