Christian, Nancy and I all went to the Symphony tonight to see Sibelius's Symphony No. 2 and selection of music and the spoken word with a reading of Edgar Allen Poe's work. There were several pieces read, but the highlight of the night was John Astin's reading of The Raven. Overall, good times as evident by the picture taken as we left they symphony.
Little did we know that John Astin himself would be joining our after party at a cafe by our house. We had settled into drinking our hot chocolate and eating decadent cake, when who should walk in wearing a house coat? You guessed it: Gomez himself. He was great, and stayed to talk to us for about 10 minutes. While he didn't look so Gomez-like on stage, he sounded just like him in normal conversation. He also still sports the mustache.Just another bit of charm here in Charm City.
